Roland Williams, NFL Football Legend and Founder of Champion Academy, sat down with me at the 2017 MENTOR Summit to discuss his passions for mentoring and the program he has created for children in the New York area. Beyond Champion Academy, Williams believes in using his voice as a professional athlete to consult with organizations that are interested in furthering their branding through partnerships with athletes — an aspect he believes is missing from the community.
Champion is the largest mentoring program in upstate New York for middle and high school students, providing social and emotional learning for its students. Williams believes the mentoring community can provide significant support for children that need additional development in these areas.
